About
Hello,
Thank you for visiting The Good Village!
Adela is my name and I have been living in Lausanne since 2009. I had worked for many years in Marketing and Digital Communication for Moevenpick Ice Cream. Some time ago, I decided to step down from the corporate world and to provide pro-bono marketing and digital business services to artists and artisans in need. The free consulting hours take place via Zoom mainly on Mo and Thu from 09:00 to 18:00 and Wed from 14:30 to 18:00. This is also how The Good Village came alive. When mid of November I learnt about the Christmas Market cancellations, I felt the desire to help the local artisans and artists by creating an online market place where they can offer their Christmas creations. I called my friend Laura who is an entrepreneur and a talented Swiss graphic designer. Together we created this marketplace, with passion and a lot of work.
As with all projects, it takes a village. Along the way, I brainstormed with artist Rebecca Klobucher, coffee shop Sleepy Bear, studio brand Trouvé by Stacey, fashion brand Positive Colours. My husband Matt and my friends Barbara, Cornelia, Diego, Eva, Germana, Jannis, Lucia, Tiziana and Victoria were a part of it too, giving me feedback along the way.
While this was a small marketplace, it has been created with passion and a desire to do good, all proceeds being entirely directed to the artists and artisans of this community. Furthermore, the artisans do not bear any fee or costs for The Good Village, my support to the artisans being entirely pro bono. For the future, The Good Village aims to become a community in which women artisans to access a wider package of services for free, from marketing to coaching and psychological support during stress times.
Much love,
Adela
